Grace & Lydia

Set within the grounds of the Melbourne Zoo, every element of Grace and Lydia’s wedding reflected their personalities, culture and love story — a day bursting with colour, warmth and energy.

A burnt orange colour palette set the tone for the day, a tribute to the sacred Aboriginal land on which Grace and Lydia grew up, met and fell in love, and their ceremony took place under the canopies of the trees beside the giraffe enclosure (their favourite animal).

Guests enjoyed a variety of specialty cocktails from The Prosecco Van after the ceremony, before being invited into the Leopard Lodge for the banquet. Here, projections of the couple and scenes of nature danced across the walls, and burnt orange drapes enveloped guests in warmth. The focal point of the room though, was a large sculpture made from live plants and native flowers, set below a giant projection of the sun.

After dinner, guests enjoyed gelato from Bianco Latte on the terrace, before dancing the night away to the most incredible set by DJ Sarah Mac of Caravan Sounds.

A truly unique and memorable day in celebration of the most wonderful couple <3
